This not agitating GE washer page will provide you with all the videos that will show you each one of the parts that you need to check when your GE washer is not agitating properly or not agitating at all.
Make sure that you watch each one of the videos a few times until you know for sure how to check, remove and replace the parts that are preventing the washer from agitating properly.
Start checking the parts in the order that I am showing you in this pa until you find the parts that needs to be replace to correct the problem.
Agitator coupler
If the washer fill with water to the selected level, the motor starts running but the agitator is not agitating. You will need to check the agitator coupler. Check the video below to see how to check & replace the agitator coupler.
The belt
Another part that you need to check is the drive belt. Click on the video below to show you how to check, adjust or replace the belt.
The clutch
If you have an older GE washer that may use a clutch check the video below to see how to take it apart and put it back together again properly. If your washer don't have a clutch the this video is not for your washer.
The motor
In order for the washer to agitate or spin, the motor has to be running properly. Click on the video below to see how to check & replace the motor.
