The not starting GE washer videos links in this page are provided to help you learn what parts you need to check and replace to fix your GE washer when is not starting. Watch the videos a few times until you know how to do what I am showing you in the videos before trying to fix your washer.
The wall outlet
The first thing you need to check on a not starting GE washer is the voltage at the wall outlet. You need to make sure that there are about 120 ac volts at the outlet in order for the washer to be able to work
The top & front panels
After you checked the wall outlet then you need to see how the washer is taken apart the right way. You need to know how to remove the front panel, the top panel and the controls panel. The video below will show how it is done.
The power cord
The power cord is what supplies electricity to the timer in the washer. You need to check it out to make sure that the timer is getting electricity from the wall outlet through the power cord.
Timer on and off switch
The timer on / off switch is use to turn the timer on or off. It is turn on when you pull the timer dial button and turn off when you push it in. Check the video below to see how to check it out.
The motor
The motor is the driving force of the washing machine. It will make the washer agitate or spin dry the clothes. Check the video below to see how to test the motor.
